What is Tortured English?

Tortured English is the poor state of the English language, where children in schools never learn the difference between an adverb and a noun. Where businesses print up fliers with "there" instead of "their." Where teens only know how 2 right 4 txts.

Whenever you cringe at a misspelled word in a sign or shudder at the grocer's apostrophe, you are one of the millions thousands dozens of English-speaking people who care whether a modifier is misplaced.
